Founder & Executive Chairman
As founding Director, Ray has seen the business grow from a small New Zealand operation into a global player. Ray is passionate about the business and the people who are part of the TALKINGtech 'family'. He enjoys all types of sport and flying small aircraft. Ray is passionate about the TALKINGtech Foundation and is determined to make a difference.
Chief Executive Officer
Having been with the company for more than a decade and working his way from the bottom up Phil knows the company intimately. Through this experience and knowledge Phil is constantly looking to improve TALKINGtech’s services and solutions through innovation and the partnering with like-minded companies. As well as his passion for IT, Phil enjoys playing a number of different sports and is also a keen photographer.
Chief Financial Officer / Head of HR
Tom manages the Finance and HR teams. Born in Fiji, he has been a member of the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1996 after graduating from the University of Auckland with a Commerce Degree in Accounting and Finance. Outside of work most time is spent with his wife and young family as well as a keen active interest in a number of sports.
Head of Marketing & Communications
Born in the United Kingdom but now operating from our New Zealand office, Jason brings vast experience and expertise to the team having worked for global blue-chip Retail and Mobile Telecommunications organisations in both the UK and NZ. Jason's interests include spending time with his young family and watching / playing football.
Based in New Zealand, Stephen has joined TALKINGtech to develop our Client Servicing and New Business acquisition in New Zealand and Australia. He also has a specific focus on how the overall product offered is articulated, and deploying our Park Avenue brand to bring further value to current and perspective clients. Away from work you will probably find him on a football field, golf or triathlon course, or spending all important time with the family.
CEO TALKINGtech Foundation
Simon is passionate about expanding the reach of the TALKINGtech Foundation with the important goal of helping those less fortunate than ourselves. Outside of work, Simon enjoys being involved in a number of action sports as well as a keen interest in motorcycling.
General Manager (South Africa)
David has used his management experience to develop new territories for the company in Australia and America, as well as growing the UK business in the library industry. His cruiser motorcycle has taken him across Europe and America, with more trips to come. Other interests include hovercrafts, DIY and travel.
Grant de Leeuw
General Manager (Europe)
Based in London, Grant is responsible for managing the European operation. A proud Kiwi, Grant graduated from Massey University with a Business Studies Degree and has worked in Telecommunications throughout New Zealand, Australia and the UK. Outside of work, Grant is a keen sportsman both on and off the couch.
General Manager (North America)
Sean joined TALKINGtech in 2007 and sells our LIBRARY solution into public libraries. He has a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science and a Master's Degree in Adult Education. Sean enjoys basketball, swimming and gardening. Sean grew up in Northern California, but now resides in Austin, Texas.
Chief Technology Officer
Darin leads the New Zealand Development Team to deliver and maintain products and services. Darin is a qualified Automotive Engineer, has a Bachelor’s Degree in ICT and a Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching. Darin is passionate about sports, loves to fish and spends much of his spare time working on DIY projects around the home.
Delivery Manager (United Kingdom)
A self-confessed IT geek, Richard joined TALKINGtech in 2005 and worked his way up from IT Support to managing the UK Delivery Team. He uses his experience, knowledge and incredible work ethic to lead and inspire his team to deliver excellent customer outcomes and ensures that all our operational platforms run smoothly. A dedicated family man, he spends much of his free time with his wife and son.
Business Analyst (North America)
Curtis provides a customer-focused and global perspective on business markets and needs, born from several years based in New Zealand in varied roles servicing our international market, before returning to his home and native land Canada. Away from work you won't find him as he pursues his interests off the beaten track with mountain biking, snowboarding and travelling the world.
Support Process Manager (New Zealand)
With many years’ experience in Customer Service, Training and Process Improvement, Leanne strives to deliver an excellent level of Customer Service whilst streamlining processes wherever possible. Leanne enjoys travelling and outdoor adventures, in particular Rock Climbing.
