Overview
TALKINGtech demonstrates a strong ethic of social responsibility. This ethic is born out of a huge desire to use the success of TALKINGtech to benefit others in the communities that we work in.
We believe that, through both day-to-day business activities and extra-curricular activities (such as charitable donations & events), TALKINGtech can make a positive impact on the needs of our global community. We believe that all businesses can help make our world a better place and would like to lead by example.
TALKINGtech have developed and promote a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) framework and this is a guideline on how we, as a company, can make a positive impact in the world. We aim to do this in two ways:
1. Investing Our Time
Giving doesn’t always mean money, we utilise the time and skills of TALKINGtech solutions and staff members to have an impact in local, national and international communities.
Strategy Examples
- Volunteer Partner Programme – empowers TALKINGtech employees to offer their time and skills to support charitable organisations for the purpose of helping those less fortunate than ourselves.
- Company Support – TALKINGtech takes part in regional, national and international initiatives by partnering with charitable trusts. Employees are also encouraged to create their own ideas for initiatives to support.
- Local Emergency Relief – In the event of ‘local’ emergency, TALKINGtech aims to offer time and help where most needed.
2. Sharing Our Success
In 2005, TALKINGtech Management has established a charitable foundation trust known as the ‘TALKINGtech Foundation’. This foundation is the ‘financial arm’ of the TALKINGtech CSR framework.
The purpose of the TALKINGtech Foundation is to provide financial assistance to individuals, non-profit and charitable organisations working with those in need, both in local and global communities.
The foundation is funded by TALKINGtech, with a percentage of net profit being committed to the foundation.
The TALKINGtech Foundation supports initiatives within the following areas:
- Community Development
- Education / Training / Research
- Emergency / Disaster Relief
- Social Services
TALKINGtech Foundation funds can be used for external grants / donations made to individuals, charitable organisations and / or emergency relief and welcomes applications from:
- Charitable / Non-Profit Organisations
- Community / Religious Organisations
- People with Disabilities
